Now, there's a pillow that simulates sunrise

"Before you go to sleep, don't forget to set your pillow."

That's what you may be hearing if Eoin McNally and Ian Walton have their way.  The two of them have created a pillow with LED lights that gradually increase in intensity starting 45 minutes before you want to wake up.  The light increases to 250 lux which is still a fairly modest level.  But, it may be enough to wake you up, and do it a little more gently than a blaring alarm.  You can find more about this at
