A study from Queensland University (Australia) found that shiftworkers in a variety of professions are more likely to be obese and sedentary, and to eat unhealthful foods.  Research Professor Catherine Turner said, "Compared to non-shift workers, the nutritional intake of shift workers is less healthy and they are more likely to smoke and smoke more than non-shift workers."
